Yuchai generator sets are assembled using diesel engines developed and produced by Guangxi Yuchai. Yuchai diesel generator sets feature low vibration, low noise, high reliability, low emissions, easy availability of spare parts, and a long service life. Customers who purchase Yuchai generator sets should pay attention to the following operating precautions when using them. For the generators in Yuchai generator sets, well-known brands such as Kaihua, Kaijieli, Stamford, Leroy-Somer, and Marathon can be selected according to customer needs.
Operating Precautions for Yuchai Generator Sets:
- Do not alter the characteristics, specifications, or models of Yuchai generator sets.
- Do not smoke when adding fuel to the fuel tank.
- Clean up spilled fuel and move fuel-soaked materials to a safe location.
- Do not add fuel to the fuel tank while the Yuchai generator set is running (except in special circumstances).
- Do not add oil, adjust, or wipe the engine while the Yuchai generator set is running (unless the operator has received training; even then, extreme caution is required to avoid injury).
- Do not adjust components you do not understand.
- The exhaust system should not leak; otherwise, harmful exhaust from the Yuchai generator set will affect the health of operators.
- When the Yuchai generator set is running, other personnel should stay in the safety zone.
- Keep loose clothing and long hair away from rotating parts.
- Stay away from rotating parts when the Yuchai generator set is working.
- Note: Some parts may be difficult to identify as rotating while the Yuchai generator set is operating.
- Do not start the Yuchai generator set if safety devices have been removed.
- Do not open the radiator drain cap of a hot diesel engine to prevent high-temperature coolant from spraying out and causing injury.
- Do not use coolant with high water hardness or that may corrode the cooling system.
- Keep flames or open fires away from the battery (especially during charging), as gases escaping from the battery electrolyte are highly flammable. Battery electrolyte is highly harmful to the skin, especially the eyes.
- Before repairing the electrical system or diesel engine, disconnect the battery connections first.
- Operate the Yuchai generator set only through the control box and in the correct working position.
- If skin is splashed with high-pressure fuel, seek medical treatment immediately. Diesel and engine oil (especially used oil) can damage the skin of some people.
